[Correlations between electrophysiological parameters of the heart, blood gas composition and hemodynamics in patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis].

Aim: To elucidate correlations between gas composition of blood, hemodynamic and electrophysiological parameters of the heart and effect of these indices on arrhythmia onset in patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis (COB).

Material And Methods: "Rhythm" ECG, 24-h ECG monitoring, transesophageal pacing, heart ultrasonography were performed in 160, 67, 160 of 160 patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis (COB), respectively. 76 patients suffered from respiratory insufficiency (RI) degree 1 and 84 of RI degree 2.

[Treatment results in chronic bacterial prostatitis using radio waves].

We report the results of examination, treatment and follow-up of 30 patients aged 25-40 years with chronic bacterial prostatitis. We used the method of local transurethral hyperthermia of the prostate ("Thermex" unit). This method proved effective as the period of remission in comparison with standard conservative therapy increased 2-3-fold.

[The effect of extracorporeal thermal-modified autologous plasma exchanges on dynamics of hormone-metabolic homeostasis indices in patients with acute myocardial infarction].

Changes of biochemical indexes in the blood of 56 patients with acute myocardial infarction against the background of conventional and complex treatment using plasma exchange of extracorporeal-termally modified autoplasma have been analysed. The findings show that complex treatment of patients with AMI, using plasma exchange of extracorporal-thermally modified autoplasma, leads to much earlier decrease of KPK, LDH, LDH-1 enzyme activity in blood; it indicates the reduction of the period of myocardiocyte function restoration. The usage of plasma exchange of extracorporeal-thermally modified autoplasma in patients with acute myocardial infarction is accompanied by the absence of increase of glucose concentration in blood (owing to the normalization of insulin production), favourable influence on stress-reaction of biological systems of organism decrease of atherogenity index.

[Enhancement of antiexudative activity of liposomes using unsaturated fatty acids].

The paper shows it possible to increase the antiexudative effect of lecithin cholesterol liposomes by incorporating additional amounts of unsaturated fatty acids (UFA). A way of incorporating UFA into the liposomal membrane substantially affects the effect under study. A mere mixing of ingredients (UFA and liposomes) caused no significant changes in exudative processes.

[The effect of the level of lipid peroxidation and the pH value of a liposomal suspension on its antibacterial activity].

Multilamellar phosphatidylcholine liposomes have been shown to possess antibacterial activity with respect to Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. An increase in the level of lipid peroxidation products in liposomal suspension as the consequence of the earlier oxidation of liposomal lipid leads to a considerable increase in the antibacterial activity of liposomes. The pH of the liposomal suspension has also an essential influence on its activity.
