The aim of this work was to evaluate the inter- and intra-observer variation in contouring vestibular schwannoma (VS) and the organs-at-risk (OAR), and its dosimetric impact in Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT). Three VS typical cases were contoured by four clinicians. The Agreement Volume Index (AVI) appeared to be notably higher in VS than in OARs, such that the dose coverage of VS is fairly robust.

Machado-Joseph disease (MJD)/spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is the most common autosomal dominantly inherited ataxia worldwide. It is caused by an over-repetition of the trinucleotide CAG within the ATXN3 gene, which confers toxic properties to ataxin-3 (ATXN3) species. RNA interference technology has shown promising therapeutic outcomes but still lacks a non-invasive delivery method to the brain.

Symptoms and functioning: a content analysis of the PANSS under the ICF framework.

Purpose: The study aimed to compare the content of the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) with that of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) and to examine the extent to which PANSS items are represented in the ICF Core Sets (ICF-CS) for schizophrenia.

Methods: The 30 items of the PANSS were linked to the ICF using established rules by two health professionals experienced in applying the ICF conceptual framework.

Results: PANSS items were linked to 42 unique ICF categories, corresponding mainly to the component; categories and from this component were the most frequently linked.
