The excited states of unstable ^{20}O were investigated via γ-ray spectroscopy following the ^{19}O(d,p)^{20}O reaction at 8  AMeV. By exploiting the Doppler shift attenuation method, the lifetimes of the 2_{2}^{+} and 3_{1}^{+} states were firmly established. From the γ-ray branching and E2/M1 mixing ratios for transitions deexciting the 2_{2}^{+} and 3_{1}^{+} states, the B(E2) and B(M1) were determined.

The aim of this work was to determine whether wearable inertial measurement units (IMUs) could detect gait improvements across different disability groups of people with Multiple Sclerosis (pwMS) by the six-minute walk test (6MWT) during a rehabilitation stay in a specialized rehabilitation center. Forty-six pwMS and 20 healthy controls (HC) were included in the study. They performed the 6MWT with two inertial measurement units (IMUs) placed on the feet.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to improve the diagnosis of inherited ataxia and related disorders through molecular sequencing, given the complexity and variety of symptoms associated with these diseases.
  • - Researchers analyzed 366 patients with undiagnosed ataxia using clinical exome-capture sequencing and established a molecular diagnosis in 46% of cases, uncovering previously unrecognized variants.
  • - They highlighted that many patients presented with milder symptoms due to unique genetic variations like hypomorphic variants and specific mechanisms such as C-terminal truncations, identifying PEX10 and FASTKD2 as genes involved in these mild disease presentations.
