The internal mammary artery perforator flap for neck reconstruction after palliative resection of advanced anaplastic thyroid cancer: a case report.

Introduction: Defects of the neck after palliative resection of exulcerated tumors could be reconstructed with different skin flaps.

Case Presentation: The present report describes the case of a 40-year-old Caucasian female patient with advanced anaplastic thyroid cancer. The exophytically growing, bad-smelling massive exulcerated tumor caused an esthetic defect, neck mobility restrictions, and mental state deterioration.

Reconditioning by end-ischemic hypothermic in-house machine perfusion: A promising strategy to improve outcome in expanded criteria donors kidney transplantation.

This clinical study evaluates end-ischemic hypothermic machine perfusion (eHMP) in expanded criteria donors (ECD) kidneys. eHMP was initiated upon arrival of the kidney in our center and continued until transplantation. Between 11/2011 and 8/2014 eHMP was performed in 66 ECD kidneys for 369 (98-912) minutes after 863 (364-1567) minutes of cold storage (CS).

[Diagnostic and treatment program in acute adhesive obturative obstruction of the small bowel].

Clinical classification of acute adhesive obturative obstruction of the small bowel is presented. Four stages of acute obstruction are distinguished. The proposed treatment and diagnostic program permitted to predict the course of obstruction, specify indications for surgical and conservative treatment, determine the terms of preoperative preparation.

[Surgical rehabilitation of patients with intestinal stoma].

The results of treatment of 145 patients with different type of intestinal stoma created due to urgent abdominal diseases were analyzed.
