Background: Solar urticaria (SU) is an uncommon photodermatosis characterized by erythema and whealing within minutes to a few hours after exposure to sunlight or an artificial light source.
Objective: To determine the clinical features, photobiological characteristics and treatment outcomes in Thai SU patients visiting a tertiary referral hospital.
Method: A retrospective analysis of 13 patients with SU was conducted.

Background: Bath-PUVA-photochemotherapy has become a useful alternative to oral PUVA therapy due to a number of advantages over systemic PUVA, for example, no ophthalmologic risk and nausea, and a lower cumulative UVA doses. However, its major disadvantage is the logistical requirement for bath tubs in practice and some patients feel uncomfortable to share the same bath with others. Topical psoralen contained preparation may be a good candidate for safe, convenient, and useful regimen in the topical PUVA therapy.

Livedoid vasculitis is a chronic disease characterized by recurrent painful irregularly shaped ulcers, which heal with scars, most commonly located on feet or lower extremities. This condition is often resistant to the therapy. We report four cases with refractory livedoid vasculitis that responded to systemic psoralens and ultraviolet A radiation therapy.

Fixed solar urticaria (FSU) is a rare and less severe subgroup of solar urticaria. It is characterized by urticarial eruptions, which occurs on the same parts of the body following sun exposure. The lesions are reproducible at the same sites with similar morphology and distribution pattern after repeated sun exposure.
