In this study, silver-immobilized graphene oxide/chitosan (AGC/CTS) membranes were assembled by the solvent evaporation method, wherein Curcuma longa extract was used to synthesize silver-immobilized graphene oxide (AGC) nanocomposite. The characterization results showed that the AGC was successfully synthesized with AgNPs distributed quite evenly on GO sheets. The as-prepared AGC also exhibited high antibacterial activity and low cytotoxicity towards normal cell lines compared to human epithelial carcinoma cell lines.

Recently, the graphite based materials have gained interest as excellent platforms to remove aqueous pollutants via adsorption routes. This is given that such materials possess large specific surface area and low density. In the present work, a comparative study of two facile and effective approaches is conventional thermal heating and microwave irradiation methods to fabricate expanded graphite from available flake graphite sources of Vietnam for oil-contaminated water purification.

In the diagnosis and management of patients with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and chronic Left Ventricular (LV) dysfunction or Heart Failure (HF), there are many uncertainties because of the non-specificity of the symptoms and signs of HF. Usually, severe CAD causes LV dysfunction. However, not rarely, LV dysfunction is the cause or aggravation of ischemia to many subsets of patients with or without CAD.
