Surgeons in training have a limited opportunity to practice their skills in a realistic surgical environment. Surgical training models are expensive and are often single-use exercises involving consumable supplies. The goal of the work presented in this paper is to increase surgeon training time by developing a surgical training simulator that is portable, inexpensive, and offers a realistic surgical environment.

There is a high degree of heterogeneity in ITP patients signified by unpredictable disease trajectories and treatment responses. Initial studies in humans have identified intestinal microbiota perturbance in ITP.

Sixteen imidazolidine-4-one derivatives were synthesized by extensive evaluation using molecular docking, absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion (ADME) predictions, and antimicrobial testing. Molecular docking studies conducted with Schrödinger's Glide revealed that compounds S4 and G8 exhibited superior docking scores of -7.

Cell signalling, which is essential to cardiac development, also presents potential disease-modifying opportunities to recover and limit myocardial injury or maladaptive remodelling. Here, we hypothesized that Yap signalling could be sensitive to one or more molecular stress patterns associated with early acute ischemia.

Bench-scale electrolyzers are the norm, with active areas <5 cm. However, cell areas on the order of 100s or 1000s of cm will be required for industrial deployment.
