Paradoxical cerebral arterial gas embolism: Computed tomography findings.

Computed tomography scan findings are described in cerebral arterial gas embolism in two patients with right to left intracardiac shunts by accidental injection of air during intravenous therapy. Although imaging may not be necessary to diagnose the condition, the patient may be referred to CT scan as a case of stroke. Cerebral arterial gas embolism should be considered in the differential diagnosis of stroke, particularly in case of right-to-left shunts.

Giant renal capsular leiomyoma: study of two cases.

Leiomyomas of the renal parenchyma and of the capsule are rare. These tumours are normally small asymptomatic and often detected incidentally. Large renal leiomyomas can present with pain or as an abdominal mass, but they are rare.

Echinococcosis of the rib with epidural extension: a rare cause of paraplegia.

Skeletal echinococcosis is a relatively rare entity and that of the rib is exceptional. Less than 50 cases of costal echinococcosis have been reported in the literature so far. Accurate pre-operative diagnosis aids in appropriate management and helps to eradicate the disease.

Imaging features of calvarial tuberculosis: a study of 42 cases.

Background And Purpose: Tuberculosis of the calvaria is a rare entity, and only anecdotal reports describing its imaging features have been previously published in the literature. We report the role of conventional radiography and CT findings on in the evaluation of calvarial tuberculosis in 42 cases.

Methods: Forty-two cases of pathologically verified calvarial tuberculosis were analyzed retrospectively by using conventional radiography and CT imaging.

Twin gestation in one horn of a bicornuate uterus.

We report a rare case of twin pregnancy in the same horn of a bicornuate uterus. This patient's uterine malformation was detected for the first time when she experienced abdominal pain at 6 weeks of amenorrhea. Transabdominal and transvaginal sonographic examinations were performed.
