Background: Although dedicated dermatology wards have been closed in some countries, they continue to exist in others. Inpatient consultations requested from dermatologists have been investigated widely. However, those requested by dermatologists have been taken into consideration only in a few studies.

Multicomorbidity in Psoriasis Vulgaris: A Retrospective Analysis.

Background: The frequencies of comorbidities in patients with psoriasis have been compared to that in the general population in many studies. Moreover, several studies have investigated the risk factors influencing the number of comorbidities in patients with psoriasis. However, a few studies have examined clusters of patients with psoriasis according to their comorbidities.

Factors Associated with Early Referral for Pediatric Cutaneous Leishmaniasis.

Determinants of early referral to healthcare providers, which may be useful for health policy, have not been investigated in pediatric cutaneous leishmaniasis with multivariate analyses. We aimed to explore determinants of early healthcare seeking in children with cutaneous leishmaniasis. Records of 1115 children with cutaneous leishmaniasis admitted to our hospital in Adana, Turkey were reviewed.

Diagnostic values of KOH examination, histological examination, and culture for onychomycosis: a latent class analysis.

Background: In the absence of a real gold standard, comparative studies are still done on diagnostic methods for onychomycosis. There are only a few attempts using latent class analysis to determine the value of polymerase chain reaction in comparison to conventional methods. We aimed to determine the value of histological examination in such a way for the diagnosis of onychomycosis.

The Value of Etiological Tests and Skin Biopsy in the Management of Prurigo Simplex Subacuta.

It has been emphasized that prurigo simplex subacuta may be associated with various disorders and may be clinically confused with dermatitis herpetiformis. Aim of the study was to evaluate the value of our set of tests for finding possible associations and for the aforementioned differential diagnosis. Rates of implementations and abnormal results in our set of tests, including skin prick test, skin biopsy, complete blood count, blood chemistry panel, and psychiatric evaluation were analyzed retrospectively between the years of 2010 and 2015 in 130 patients clinically diagnosed with prurigo simplex subacuta.
