Background: Maternal HIV infection can affect placental immunology and expression of the neonatal crystallizable fragment receptor (FcRn), which allows transplacental antibody transfer. This study delineated differences in placental FcRn and T-cell expression by HIV status, with or without viral suppression.

Methods: This observational cohort study in Pune, India, followed pregnant women with and without HIV through 1 year postpartum; 42 had placenta collected, stratified by HIV status.

We report results of a randomized controlled trial to compare 'HPV screen and treat' (Arm 1) and 'HPV screen, triage and treat' (Arm 2) in women living with HIV (WLHIV), using visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) as the triaging test. Treatment was offered to all HPV-positive women in Arm 1 and to VIA-positive women in Arm 2 with either thermal ablation or large loop excision. All women underwent a repeat HPV test one year after randomization.

Aims: Moxifloxacin is a priority drug for treating rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (RR-TB). We assessed the pharmacokinetics of a child-friendly, dispersible 100 mg tablet moxifloxacin formulation (dispersed in water) compared to the standard 400 mg non-dispersible formulation (crushed and suspended in water) in children and evaluated current dosing recommendations.

Methods: The CATALYST trial investigated the pharmacokinetics of moxifloxacin in children with RR-TB.

Background: In the absence of 3-dimensional gait analysis (3DGA), assessment of transverse plane motion of the lower extremity from sagittal and coronal video has a high degree of error. We propose a standardized method through vertical video-based gait analysis (VVGA) to assess the position of the pelvis and lower extremity in the transversal plane. This study aims to evaluate the reliability and accuracy of VVGA compared with 3DGA for transverse plane kinematics.
