In the work, investigation of the features and operation regimes of sputter enhanced ion-plasma source are presented. The source is based on the target sputtering with the dense plasma formed in the crossed electric and magnetic fields. It allows operation with noble or reactive gases at low pressure discharge regimes, and, the resulting ion beam is the mixture of ions from the working gas and sputtering target.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFApoptosis (Programmed Cell Death) is a genetically regulated, morphologically distinct form of cell death that can be initiated by many different physiological and pathological stimuli. Such strategic intracellular programming is initiated in many instances during normal life cycle and development in order to maintain the homeostasis of a multicellular organism, to eliminate unwanted cells. However, apoptosis is also involved in a wide range of pathologic conditions, including neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases, cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Effect of lung surfactant on protein biosynthesis in macrophages at their cultivation in vitro has been studied. The surfactant is shown to stimulate protein synthesis in the cells. This phenomenon is probably stipulated by the increase of the transcription activity and formation of 45-pre rRNA, life of RNA.
