Antibiotics are extensively used in layer flocks for the prevention of diseases and to enhance their growth and production. However, their non-prudent use is leading to the occurrence of residues in eggs. The present study aimed at the detection of tetracycline group residues in egg samples collected from layer farms located in Haryana, India, and human health risk assessment.

Lingual necrosis is a rare complication of GCA caused by lingual artery vasculitis due to ischemia. A delay in diagnosis can result in irreversible complications such as tongue amputation.

Significant hindrances, however, are morphological and cellular heterogeneity, inter-organoid size differences, cellular stress, and poor reproducibility. Here, we describe a method that reproducibly generates thousands of organoids across multiple hiPSC lines.

This study uses 16S rRNA sequencing to examine the effects of six different fat-supplemented diets (canola oil, coconut oil, fish oil, flaxseed oil, lard, and olive oil) on broiler chicken cecal microbial composition and predicted function in comparison with a common and inexpensive fat source (poultry fat). Groups of broilers were fed each of these diets and then evaluated on day 41 and day 55 of age.

We identified potent lipophilic small interfering RNA (siRNA) conjugates targeting highly conserved regions of SARS-CoV-2 outside of the spike-encoding region capable of achieving ≥3-log viral reduction. Serial passaging studies demonstrated that a two-siRNA combination prevented development of resistance compared to a single siRNA approach.
