Recessive Variants in PIGG Cause a Motor Neuropathy with Variable Conduction Block, Childhood Tremor, and Febrile Seizures: Expanding the Phenotype.

Biallelic variants in phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis, class G (PIGG) cause hypotonia, intellectual disability, seizures, and cerebellar features. We present 8 patients from 6 families with a childhood-onset motor neuropathy and neurophysiology demonstrating variable motor conduction block and temporal dispersion. All individuals had a childhood onset tremor, 5 of 8 had cerebellar involvement, and 6 of 8 had childhood febrile seizures.

Early Detection of Lymph Node Metastasis Using Primary Head and Neck Cancer Computed Tomography and Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging.

: Early detection and accurate diagnosis of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in head and neck cancer (HNC) are crucial for enhancing patient prognosis and survival rates. Current imaging methods have limitations, necessitating new evaluation of new diagnostic techniques. This study investigates the potential of combining pre-operative CT and intra-operative fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIm) to enhance LNM prediction in HNC using primary tumor signatures.

Additional confirmation of successful cell suspension fractionation of metastatic axillary node tissue.

We present herein an extension to our recently developed and published method termed "Fractionation of Nodal Cell Suspension" (FNCS). The method enables efficient subcellular fractionation into nuclear (N) and cytosolic (C) compartments of extremely fibrous and problematic metastatic axillary lymph node (mALN) tissue, using the entire nodule. For the purpose of the present study, a case of invasive lobular breast cancer (BC) patient with pT2N3aMx status and defined primary tumor markers (ERα 8, PR-B 8, and HER2 score 0) was available.

Non-hemorrhagic cerebellar contrast enhancement on intraoperative MRI during a supratentorial glioma resection: Concerning finding of no significance.

Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) is a powerful tool used to verify maximal safe resection of gliomas. However, unsuspected new or incidental findings can present difficult clinical scenarios. Here we present a case of a large supratentorial glioma resection where new, incidental bilateral cerebellar hemispheric enhancement was noted on iMRI.
