[Contribution of common factors to the pathogenesis of maxillodental abnormalities in children].

Results of complex investigation of 64 children with dento-maxillary deformations are presented. Anamnestic data of mothers and children were analyzed. Examinations by different specialists--pediatrician, orthopedician, nephrologist revealed latent and severe diseases and functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, central and autonomic nervous system, kidneys causing metabolic disorders particularly mineral metabolism disturbances.

Laparoscopy in the Treatment of Tubal Infertility.

Since 1992 we have performed 371 bilateral salpingostomies in infertile women (age 20-32 yrs, infertility duration 2-9 yrs) with blockage in the ampullas. Salpingostomy was performed after retrieving the tube from the commisure and filling it with methylene blue. The ampullary part of the tube was grasped at 1 to 2 cm to place the stoma, the wall was coagulated, and the site of greatest thinness of the star scar was dissected by microscissors.

Comparative Evaluation of the Effect of the Combined Treatment of Stein-Leventhal Syndrome with High-Level Prolactin.

The frequency of Stein-Leventhal syndrome associated with hyperprolactinemia is about 15-42%. This fact makes it important to determine the most effective method of treatment with the aim of improving fertility. Eighty-four patients with Stein-Leventhal syndrome and elevated prolactin levels were treated in the Gynaecological Center during 1992-1993.

Combination of Laparoscopic Coagulation and Hormone Therapy in Treatment of Small Endometriosis Formations.

Ninety-six patients with endometriosis of pelvic peritoneum and endometriosis of uterosacral ligaments were treated in our gynecologic center during 1992. The diagnosis was made on the basis of clinical signs and the results of laboratory tests and instrumental investigations and included pain syndrome, infertility, laparoscopy with biopsy of endometriosis, and histologic investigation of samples.
