[Occupational regulations of the use of terpene compounds in the air of the workplace].

Based on results of 15-years complex study, the authors present toxicological and hygienic characteristics of terpene compounds (with mono- and bicyclic structure) and their compositions. The article deals with toxicodynamics and toxicokinetics of terpenoids, dependence of toxic properties on the chemical structure. The article also touches upon studies of biologic and specific (sensibilizing activity, embryotoxic and gonadotropic, membranotropic) effects of terpenoids.

[Air sanitation of poultry farms with the forest balm mark A].

The new oxygenium derivate of terpenes, named as the forest balm A, was successfully used for the air sanitation at a large poultry farm. This balm is less toxic than the extensively used three-iodine ethylene glycol.

[Data on the establishment of group MPEL for natural and modified colophony in the workplace air].

The results of the toxico-hygienic study of 12 types of rosins are presented. It is established that these compounds are moderately hazardous products with slightly pronounced local irritating and skin resorptive effect accompanied by moderate sensitizing activity. Rosins' cumulative characteristics are not manifested at the lethal level.
