[The endoprosthesis problem of the shoulder joint].

The article discusses the problem of endoprosthezing the humeral articulation having a complex anatomy which is often responsible for unsatisfactory results of treatment. The monopolar and total endoprostheses of the humeral articulation are described. A new method of operative treatment of injuries and diseases of the humeral articulation is proposed called by the authors "subchondral endoprosthesis".

[The biomechanical characteristics of the hip joint during endoprosthesis].

Under consideration was the interaction of the hip joint endoprosthesis pedicle with the femur. Causes of shaking the prosthesis pedicle, fracture of the femur, progressing deforming arthrosis were analyzed. Formulas for calculating the character of interactions of the prosthesis pedicle with the femur are presented, as well as risk factors and recommendations for practical use.

[Fluctuations in synovial fluid pressure in the hip joint].

Close interrelation of the indications of pressure in the acetabular part of the joint and the position of the lower extremity was revealed in experimental preparations of the hip joint. The fluctuation of the pressure was shown to depend on anatomical features, in particular on the femur head shape and the state of the glenoid lip. The data obtained should be taken into account in endoprosthesis of the femur head and elaboration of new implants.

[A method for forming an artificial ligament for the femur head in endoprosthesis].

A method of restoration of the ligament of the femur head in endoprosthesis is described. It was successfully used in 20 patients during the individual prosthesis for fractures and false joints of the femur neck.
