Inhibition of quorum sensing is considered to be an effective strategy of control and treatment of a wide range of acute and persistent infections. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic bacterium with a high adaptation potential that contributes to healthcare-associated infections. In the present study, the effects of the synthesized hybrid structures bearing sterically hindered phenolic and heterocyclic moieties in a single scaffold on the production of virulence factors by P.

Catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) draw great concern due to increased demand for urinary catheters in hospitalization. Encrustation caused by urinary pathogens, especially , results in blocking of the catheter lumen and further infections. In this study, a facile and low-cost surface modification strategy of urinary catheters was developed using one-step coordination of tannic acid (TA) and copper ions.

Diabetic wounds remain one of the most prevalent hard-to-heal wounds in the clinic. The causative factors impeding the wound healing process include not only the elevated oxidative stress and bacterial infections but also the high and repetitive plantar stress (including compressive pressure and shear stress). Conventional hydrogel dressings are mechanically weak and fragile, limiting their applications in the high stress-loading conditions of diabetic foot ulcers.

Two Pseudomonas strains were isolated from the Ficus elastica leaves. The O-antigens were obtained using phenol-water method and mild acid degradation. The following structures of the O-polysaccharides were established by sugar analysis and 2D NMR spectroscopy: OPS of Pseudomonas psychrotolerans BIM B-1171 G -2)[aDGlcp(1-3)]bDRhap(1-3)aDManp(1-3)aDRhap(1- OPS of Pseudomonas sp.
