Features of the morphogenesis of oxalate and urate urinary stones in urolithiasis patients from heavely industrialized region.

Objective: Aim: Determining the characteristics of urinary stone composition in inhabitants of an industrially advanced region afflicted with oxalate and urate urolithiasis.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: A comparative analysis of the morphology of 246 kidney stones from residents of one of heavily industrialized region of Ukraine, was conducted. Petrographic examination of the calculi was performed through microscopic analysis.

Combined influence of the local atmosphere conditions and space weather on three parameters of 24-h electrocardiogram monitoring.

The effect of local atmosphere status and space weather on the healthy volunteers and the patients suffering arterial hypertension (AH) is studied. The research group included 12 healthy volunteers and 15 patients suffering AH of 1-2 degree. In the period of 24-h electrocardiogram monitoring (ECG), all the patients suffering AH continued to take effective antihypertensive therapy individually prescribed.

The specificity of the human uterine receptor.

The aim of the present study was to assess the contribution of different parts of natural and synthetic steroid molecules in their binding to high affinity oestradiol receptor preparations obtained from whole human uteri. Fifty-five compounds were used in the study of which 38 contained the steroid nucleus. The affinity (in terms of association constants) of the compounds for the receptor was determined from competitive studies with radioactive oestradiol.
