The authors present 4 cases of chronic AgHBs positive hepatitis, with reactivations of hepatitis B virus. The reactivations occurred spontaneously, as mentioned in references. The authors appreciate that the cause of B virus reactivation bases upon factors which modify the immune status of the host.

The present paper analyses, in correlation with histologic lesions, the incidence of infection with Campylobacter pylori (CP) in patients with chronic gastritis, operated stomach, gastric neoplasm and healthy subjects. In chronic gastritis, incidence of infection with CP is 71.6%, significantly increased in comparison with the controls, in whom the positive percentage is 37.

The incidence, aetiology, evolution, prognosis and treatment of PTH was studied in 253 cases selected from among 7224 patients with acute viral hepatitis, admitted to hospital during the 1973-1979 period. Following the rational application of transfusion and elimination of hepatitis virus B carriers, there was a three-fold decrease in the frequency of PTH. Control of the donors by contra-immunoelectrophoresis showed that PTH type B represents at least 26.
