Aim: This study aims to examine the role of intravenous pyelography (IVP) in the evaluation of developmental renal anomalies.
Materials And Method: A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted on 26 subjects presenting with loin pain and suspicion of renal anomalies, subjected to IVP at ACS Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. Descriptive statistics were used for frequency and percentage.
Phyto-bioactive (PB) compounds are naturally occurring substances derived from plants that offer significant health benefits ranging from antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities to potential cancer-fighting properties. However, their widespread application is limited by several inherent limitations, such as low bioavailability, poor biostability, limited aqueous solubility, and no site-specific target. Additionally, the necessity for high concentrations of effective PBs doses further restricts their use.

This research introduces an innovative laser-assisted thermal lens (TL) technique for the precise detection and measurement of microplastics, specifically those leaching from the inner plastic coatings of paper cups. Employing a multipronged approach encompassing scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV-visible, and Raman spectroscopy, a comprehensive investigation is conducted into the leaching of microplastics into hot water from paper cups.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAgeing of engine oil is an important issue determining the engine life and performance. The present work attempts to delineate the ageing-induced changes in engine oil through the mode-mismatched dual-beam thermal lens (MMDBTL) technique and other conventional spectroscopic techniques. For the analyses, engine oil samples were collected after every 200 km of runtime.
