Background and objective Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a heterogeneous and aggressive blood malignancy prevalent among both children and adults, accounting for a significant proportion of acute leukemia cases worldwide. Our study aimed to shed light on the demographic and clinical profile and risk stratification of newly diagnosed AML cases at a tertiary care government hospital in South India. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional study involving 221 patients with AML in the Department of Clinical Hematology, Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and Madras Medical College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu from January 2020 to December 2022.

Aims: To identify a marine L-asparaginase with clinically desirable attributes and characterize the shortlisted candidate through in silico tools.

Methods And Results: Marine bacterial strains (number = 105) isolated from marine crabs were evaluated through a stepwise strategy incorporating the crucial attributes for therapeutic safety. The results demonstrated the potential of eight bacterial species for extracellular L-asparaginase production.

Background: Self-bias effect is expressed as a preferential selection and accelerated perception of self-related sensory information. Intentional binding (IB) is a related phenomenon where the sensory outcome from a voluntary action and the voluntary action itself are perceived to be closer to each other in time in both predictive (voluntary action predicting sensory consequence) and retrospective (sensory consequence features triggering self-related inference) contexts. Recent evidence indicates that self-related visual stimuli can affect retrospective intentional binding (rIB).

The paper reports a combination of the deep learning technique and bayesian filtering to effectively predict the passenger traffic. The architecture of the model integrates the particle filter with the LSTM network. The time series sequential prediction is best achieved using LSTM network while Markovian behaviour is well extracted using Bayesian (Particle Filter) filters.
