Arthropod-borne viral diseases are acute febrile illnesses, sometimes with chronic effects, that can be debilitating and even fatal worldwide, affecting particularly vulnerable populations. Indigenous communities face not only the burden of these acute febrile illnesses, but also the cardiovascular complications that are worsened by urbanization. A cross-sectional study was conducted in an Indigenous population in the Northeast Region of Brazil to explore the association between arboviral infections (dengue, chikungunya, and Zika) and cardiac biomarkers, including cardiotrophin 1, growth differentiation factor 15, lactate dehydrogenase B, fatty-acid-binding protein 3, myoglobin, N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide, cardiac troponin I, big endothelin 1, and creatine kinase-MB, along with clinical and anthropometric factors.

Background: This study aims to validate the content and evaluate the usability of the Autism App for screening children with autism spectrum disorder.
Methods: This methodological study was conducted between August 2023 and March 2024. The study included 15 experts for content validation and nine for usability evaluation, all of whom had experience in the health/technology field.
Aims: This study aimed to identify and characterize Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from patients infected and uninfected with SARS-CoV-2, focusing on their phenotypic characteristics and antimicrobial resistance profiles.
Main Methods: A total of 100 P. aeruginosa isolates were obtained from patients admitted to a hospital in Presidente Prudente, SP, in 2021.
Background: Although the benefit of supportive care in the postcancer period is now well demonstrated, its implementation in the patient journey remains challenging. This article describes the development, since 2015 and in routine care, of supportive postcancer care comprising a multidisciplinary rehabilitation programme (MRP) based on exercise for patients with early breast cancer.
Methods: As part of quality control, we reviewed all patient files since the programme was implemented.
Nanomaterials stand out for their exceptional properties and innovative potential, especially in applications that protect against space radiation. They offer an innovative approach to this challenge, demonstrating notable properties of radiation absorption and scattering, as well as flexibility and lightness for the development of protective clothing and equipment. This review details the use of polymeric materials, such as polyimides (PIs), which are efficient at attenuating ultraviolet (UV) radiation and atomic oxygen.
