Publications on the prevalence and causes of subarachnoid hemorrhages (SAH) and one of the most frequent their complications, cerebral vasospasm (CV), are reviewed. The issues of the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of CV in SAH are covered, basic methods of its clinical and paraclinical verification are described. The authors reviewed the reasons of the discrepancy between clinically significant and angiographic vasoconstrictive reactions.

The following linear and calculated Doppler measurements were estimated at rest: blood flow in ophthalmic artery (OA), central retinal artery (CRA), posterior ciliary arteries, central retinal vein and superior ophthalmic vein (SOV). In 10 patients Doppler measurements of blood flow in OA, CRA SOV were estimated 5 times by 2 observers with different level of skills in ultrasonographic ophthalmologic examination.

The tumors in question are shown to differ in the qualitative and quantitative indicators of blood flow, which can be successfully used in the complex differential diagnosis and in the adjustment of management policy in the patients of this category.

Through represented clinical diagnoses, the author studied age of primary diagnosis of ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular diseases in general and of individual entities, arterial hypertension, relationships between age at the diagnosis and total radiation dose, dose rate. The article presents comparative data on dose loads, time of various cardiovascular diseases diagnosis in accordance with circulatory disorders during chronic radiation sickness.
