Mitochondrial substrate-based preparations corrected disorders, caused by long-term exposure to abnormal gravitation vector in head-down tilt (hanging) test in rats. The preparations produced systemic and polyorgan protective effects consisting in correction of the blood prooxidant/antioxidant balance, energy metabolism in musculus soleus, and minimization of morphological changes in the liver and kidneys.

Clinical and morphological analyses of brain biopsy specimens from epileptic patients undergone surgery have indicated that the brain vascular system in epilepsy has the most vulnerable site, namely: pre-capillary arterioles and capillaries. At the same time, the paper describes some dissimilarities of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the above vessels from their changes in hypertensive angiopathy. There was a relationship of arteriolar changes to the duration and severity of epilepsy.

Laser irradiation of the suture was shown to produce a stimulating effect on the macrophagal-phagocytic system of the blood. The oxidase activity of phagocytes in peritoneal washings in the group of animals subjected to laser irradiation was considerably lower than in two other groups.
