Osteoarthritis is a frequent, age-associated disease affecting >10% of world's population over 60 years of age. This study intended to compare intra-articular whole blood clot secretome (autologous conditioned serum [ACS], recently re-named blood clot secretome [BCS]) to platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in knee osteoarthritis (OA). A clinical, nonrandomized open-label comparison of ACS versus PRP in knee OA with subclinical or moderate synovitis symptomology was performed.

In order to successfully share patient data across multiple systems, a reliable method of linking patient records across disparate organizations is required. In Canada, within the province of Ontario, there are four centralized diagnostic imaging repositories (DIRs) that allow multiple hospitals and independent health facilities (IHF) to send diagnostic images and reports for the purpose of sharing patient data across the region (Nagels et al. J Digit Imaging 28: 188, 2015).

The study was carried out to evaluate variability of morpho-genetic potential of plasma rich in thrombocytes. The analysis of ADP-induced aggregation of thrombocytes separated from blood samples of 32 male volunteers aged 18-42 (22±3) was applied. The bimodal character of reaction of thrombocytes to ADP with peaks of aggregation in range of 30-50% and 60-80%.

The kidneys are one of main homeostatic organs participating in regulation of concentration of osmotic active substances, ionic composition and acid-base balance, in maintenance of volume of fluid of internal medium of organism fulfilling excretory function. The analysis of urine is largely applied in laboratory practice for detecting different pathological conditions. The actual study was organized to develop simple, accessible and economic mode of evaluation of functional condition of kidneys in patients with somatic diseases, detection of their early dysfunction and timely implementation of adjustment.
