Presented in the article is a rare clinical case report concerning successful treatment of a female patient with vaginal paraganglioma of the neck - a tumour extending from the level of the trunk of the common carotid artery in cranial direction to the base of the skull. Mentioned are difficulties of carrying out an operational intervention requiring the use of certain surgical techniques. The tumour was removed as a single block with the involvement into the process of the major vessels of the neck and nervous formations.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe work was aimed at choosing the criteria for selection of patients to undergo endovascular prosthetic repair of the abdominal aorta in aneurysms of the aorta and iliac arteries with due regard for the anatomical characteristics. According to the described methodology of assessing the technical success and the risk degree of the endovascular intervention we carried out a retrospective analysis of the findings of computed tomography in a total of 141 patients. Of these, the overwhelming majority--122 subjects were men over 65 years old.
