Efficacy of an Attachment-Based Intervention Model on Health Indices in Children with Chronic Disease and Their Mothers.

Studies have shown significant relationship between health conditions and attachment. This study aimed to examine an attachment-based intervention model named mother-child-disease triangle (MCDT) on health indices in children with chronic disease and their mothers. This randomized trial study included 22 volunteer children aged 12-18 years undergoing medical treatment for a chronic disease and their mothers.

Penicillin acylase purification with the aid of hydrophobic charge induction chromatography.

The aim of this work was to test a chromatographic support, 4-mercaptoethyl pyridine (4-MEP) Hypercel, for penicillin acylase purification by using pure penicillin acylase and crude extract. Two equilibration buffers with various salt concentrations and different flow rates were tested. The relationships between electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions and proteins are demonstrated.

Evaluation of Matrex cellufine GH 25.

The aim of this work was to test a new matrix for group size exclusion chromatography, Matrex cellufine GH 25, and compare it with Sephadex G25 Superfine and Sephadex G25 fine. Matrex cellufine GH 25 showed a better behaviour at high flow rate (792 cm/h) without back-pressure or packing-down. Sephadex G25 superfine showed a limited flow rate (226 cm/h) with both back-pressure and packing-down and Sephades G25 fine allowed running at 792 cm/h but with packing-down fourfold superior to that of Matrex cellufine GH 25.

Penicillin acylase purification with the aid of pseudo-affinity chromatography.

The introduction of affinity chromatography has opened a new dimension in protein purification. This article reviews the current techniques used in the penicillin acylase purification process, especially pseudo-affinity chromatography. A profile for a suitable ligand is established.

Evaluation of immobilized metal affinity chromatography for purification of penicillin acylase.

The aim of this work was to test immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) for the purification of penicillin acylase. After evaluation of different metals, Cu2+ was selected. Different samples were tested: pure penicillin acylase, industrial clarified feedstock and crude extract.
