Introduction: Anabolic-androgenic steroids (AASs) are a complex cluster of synthetic derivatives of testosterone. Radical orchiectomy or testis sparing surgery (TSS) are recognized therapeutic approaches in these cases. However, the risk for hypogonadism and infertility is higher with the former compared with the latter.

This case-control study assessed whether dutasteride, a 5α-reductase inhibitor used for treatment of patients with benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), impacts on the levels of neuroactive steroids, leading to erectile dysfunction (ED) and/or hypoactive sexual desire (HSD).
Methods: Forty patients with BPH and moderate-to-severe lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), pre-scheduled for prostate transurethral resection or open prostatectomy were enrolled.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the effect of combined oral administration and intralesional injection of hyaluronic acid (HA) with intralesional injections alone, in patients with early onset of Peyronie's disease (PD).
Materials And Methods: For this prospective, randomized phase III clinical trial we included patients with recent diagnosis of PD. Eighty-one patients were randomized into two groups.
