[Experimental and clinical study of preparation Iridol action on the central nevros system].

In experiment on adult rats male the anxiolitic action of new plant origin drug Iridol, enriched with compounds iridoids, is shown. This effect of Iridol was approximately the same as by diazepam. In patients with arterial hypertension I - II degree, accompanied by psychoemotional disturbances, the use of Iridol in complex treatment increases efficacy of therapy.

[Biologically active substances in garlic (Allium sativum L.) and their application in nutrition for humans].

Reviewed above is chemical composition of garlic and its biological Hypolipidemic, antioxidative, antibacterial and antitumorogenic properties of preparations were elucidated in experimental, clinical and epidemiological observations. It has been concluded that garlic are useful for prevention and combined treatment of most chronical diseases.

[Features of the effect of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids on lipid metabolism, lipoproteins, and development of ischemic heart disease].

The effect of saturated, mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acid on lipid, lipoprotein metabolism and ischaemic heart disease is reviewed. Optimal effect on lipid and lipoprotein metabolism and prevention of ischemic heart disease exert only physiologically correlated amount of saturated and unsaturated fatty acid. Especially negative metabolic action is noted by use of heated oils contained polyunsaturated fatty acids.

[Anti-atherosclerotic action of mildronate in experiment].

Mildronate is a new antiischemic drug which inhibits biosynthesis of carnitine from butyrobetaine. We studied antiatherosclerotic and antiinflammatory effects of mildronate in guinea-pigs, rats and rabbits. We found a hypolipidemic action of this substance in rats with triton WR-1339 hyperlipidemia.

[Ability to induce an experimental hypercholesteremia in rats with reduced ability for drinking conditioning].

A diet rich in cholesterol caused individual differences in its accumulation in the blood of unbred male rats. High sensitivity of rats to hypercholesterinemia is reciprocally related to drinking conditioning.
