The efficacy of weekly paclitaxel in androgen-independent prostate cancer and its addictive cytotoxicity with anthracycline derivatives led us to determine the safety and efficacy of a weekly schedule of paclitaxel and epirubicin. Radical nephrectomy was carried out and the patient is well, without symptoms of relapse, 1 year after surgery.
