Background: Anderson-Fabry disease (AFD) is an X-linked inherited lysosomal disease caused by a defect in the gene encoding lysosomal enzyme α-galactosidase A (GLA). Atrio-ventricular (AV) nodal conduction defects and sinus node dysfunction are common complications of the disease. It is not fully elucidated how frequently AFD is responsible for acquired AV block or sinus node dysfunction and if some AFD patients could manifest primarily with spontaneous bradycardia in general population.

Aim: To describe clinical findings in patients with sudden decrease of visual functions according to the solar maculopathy appearance after watching the partial solar eclipse and results of the changes follow-up after 7 weeks.

Material And Methods: Medical records of five women (6 eyes) with solar maculopathy associated with watching partial solar eclipse on March 20th, 2015 were retrospectively evaluated. The diagnosis of solar maculopathy was established according to the medical history, ophthalmologic examination of the fundus in artificial mydriasis, and confirmed by means of spectral domain optic coherence tomography examination of the macula.

Technological advancement in hardware and software development in myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) leads to the shortening of acquisition time and reduction of the radiation burden to patients. We compared semiquantitative perfusion results and functional parameters of the left ventricle between new dedicated cardiac system with astigmatic collimators called IQ-SPECT (Siemens Medical Solutions, USA) and conventional single photon emission tomography (SPET) system equipped with standard low energy high resolution collimators. A group of randomly selected 81 patients underwent consecutively the MPI procedure on IQ-SPECT and on conventional SPET systen, both without attenuation correction.
