Hemodynamic studies in 226 patients with erysipelas of the lower limbs with employment of tetrapolar rheography revealed a marked reduction in the intensity of regional blood flow correlated with the disease severity. Circulation recovery in the affected limb takes place as late as 3 months after the discharge from hospital in primary and secondary erysipelas, but deficient circulation persisted in recurrent disease.
