Introduction: The data of the survey of European (EU) neurologists on the methods of diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis in Europe were compared with the data of the similar survey of neurologists of the Russian Federation (RF).

Method: Seventy-five neurologists specialized in MS from RF completed questionnaires on radiologically isolated syndrome (RIS), clinically isolated syndrome (CIS), relapsing-remitting (RRMS), secondary progressive (SPMS), and primary progressive (PPMS) multiple sclerosis.

Results: In the case of RIS, only 46% of neurologists from the RF recommended CSF analysis for oligoclonal IgG and only 54.

Autoimmune ophthalmopathy (AIO) is currently regarded as an independent genetically determined autoimmune disease characterized by lesions of the organs of vision and can be combined with other endocrine and non-endocrine autoimmune disorders. There are few publications about the combination and the differential diagnosis of myasthenia gravis and AIO. The authors present a clinical case of the combination of myasthenia gravis and autoimmune eye disease with the symptoms of the malignant exophthalmos.

Objective: To analyze the medical and social condition of 70 families having a member with multiple sclerosis of working age.

Material And Methods: We used the classification of types and kinds of families of chronically ill patients of working-age that included two sections - grouping families by health and social status.

Results: By medical condition, most families are assessed as dysfunctional II degree, by welfare as at risk families.
