This paper presents the results of quantum-chemical modeling performed by the Density Functional-Based Tight Binding (DFTB) method to investigate the change in the band structure of hybrid materials based on carbon nanotubes and unsubstituted, tetra-, or octa-halogen-substituted zinc phthalocyanines upon the adsorption of ammonia molecules. The study showed that the electrical conductivity of these materials and its changes in the case of interaction with ammonia molecules depend on the position of the impurity band formed by the orbitals of macrocycle atoms relative to the forbidden energy gap of the hybrids. The sensor response of the hybrids containing halogenated phthalocyanines was lower by one or two orders of magnitude, depending on the number of substituents, compared to the hybrid with unsubstituted zinc phthalocyanine.

Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) and lymphomas in immunocompromised individuals represent significant clinical challenges, with a limited understanding of their pathogenesis. We investigated a PTLD cohort (n = 50) consisting of 'early lesions' (infectious mononucleosis-like PTLD, plasmacytic and follicular hyperplasias), polymorphic PTLD and post-transplant diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (PT-DLBCL). The study also included 15 DLBCL with autoimmune/immunocompromised backgrounds (IS-DLBCL) and 14 DLBCL, not otherwise specified (DLBCL, NOS), as control.

Introduction: Early adolescence is a time of high psychosocial stress exposure and high stress reactivity, associated with the development of mental disorders. Understanding how the brain reacts to acute and social stressors during this period might help us detect and protect those at risk.

Methods: We used functional magnetic resonance imaging to investigate acute social stress reactivity in non-clinical adolescents between ages 13 and 15 years (N = 61) with a range of depression scores (Beck Depression Inventory scores 0-32).

Background/objectives: The biostimulant SuperFifty, produced from the brown algae , can improve crop quality and yield and mitigate stress tolerance in model and crop plants such as , pepper, and tomato. However, the effect of SuperFifty on raspberries and strawberries has not been well studied, especially in terms of nutritional properties and yield. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of SuperFifty on the quality and quantity of raspberry and strawberry fruits, with a focus on metabolic composition and essential elements, which together determine the nutritional properties and total yield of these two crops.

Rotation advancement flaps are a challenge for dermatosurgery and in particular the severe clinical cases, mainly affecting skin tumors in the facial area or the so-called ˝high risk areas˝. The proximity of these areas to important vital structures (such as nerves and blood vessels) also determines the need for more precision when performing this type of manipulation. Teamwork and preoperative planning are crucial and provide a number of advantages in terms of the timely achievement of the therapeutic endpoints.
