Reconstruction of cheek and buccal mucosa with latissimus dorsi musculocutaneous flap.

This paper reports the experience of the author in the use of the latissimus dorsi musculocutaneous flap in the reconstruction of the cheek defect following tumour ablation. The advantages of this flap are its improved vascularity, bulk, and greater length which enable resurfacing of both surfaces of the cheek with the use of a single flap.
