Incidence of hypoglycemia in hyperkalemia patients after treatment with insulin and dextrose in the emergency department of a tertiary care hospital in India: a prospective observational study.

Background: Hypoglycemia is a serious, often overlooked complication of treating hyperkalemia with insulin and dextrose. If not recognized and managed, it can increase morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to estimate the incidence of hypoglycemia in hyperkalemic patients treated with 10 units of intravenous insulin, 50 ml of 50% dextrose, 10 ml of 10% calcium gluconate, and salbutamol nebulization.

Synchronous Proton-Hydride Transfer by a Pyrazole-Functionalized Protic Mn(I) Complex in Catalytic Alcohol Dehydrogenative Coupling.

A series of Mn(I) complexes Mn(L )(CO) Br, Mn(L )(CO) Br, Mn(L )(CO) (OAc) and Mn(L )(CO) Br [L =2-(5-tert-butyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)-1,8-naphthyridine, L =2-(5-tert-butyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine, L =2-(5-tert-butyl-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)-1,8-naphthyridine] were synthesized and fully characterized. The acid-base equilibrium between the pyrazole and the pyrazolato forms of Mn(L )(CO) Br was studied by H NMR and UV-vis spectra. These complexes are screened as catalysts for acceptorless dehydrogenative coupling (ADC) of primary alcohols and aromatic diamines for the synthesis of benzimidazole and quinoline derivatives with the release of H and H O as byproducts.

Classification of lung cancer computed tomography images using a 3-dimensional deep convolutional neural network with multi-layer filter.

Lung cancer creates pulmonary nodules in the patient's lung, which may be diagnosed early on using computer-aided diagnostics. A novel automated pulmonary nodule diagnosis technique using three-dimensional deep convolutional neural networks and multi-layered filter has been presented in this paper. For the suggested automated diagnosis of lung nodule, volumetric computed tomographic images are employed.

Hygiene has been noticed as one of the most effective procedures against COVID-19 cross-transmission, especially hand hygiene and covering the face with the mask. Therefore, this study tried to peek into the people movements and seeks to understand how people are handling their daily use items like fruits and vegetables, how people are managing unavoidable grooming services, how people are disinfecting themselves after coming from outside, and what all hygienic practices they are following during this pandemic. Furthermore, this study attempts to explore ways through which people are disinfecting their houses.
