Inter-rater reliability of retrograde urethrograms.

Purpose: Reliability of pre-operative testing is important for adequate surgical planning. For urethral stricture disease, preoperative planning frequently includes retrograde urethrogram (RUG). The radiographic interpretation of RUGs is often done by urologists themselves.

ICSI outcomes in men undergoing TESE for azoospermia and impact of maternal age.

This retrospective study compared clinical outcomes in men with obstructive and nonobstructive azoospermia after ICSI following testicular sperm extraction and the influence of maternal age. Fertilisation rates, embryo quality, pregnancy rates, miscarriage rates and live birth rates were evaluated. Men with obstructive azoospermia (OA) had significantly higher rates of diploid fertilisation and clinical pregnancy than men with nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA), but miscarriage rates and live birth rates were not significantly different.

Purpose: Compliance with post-vasectomy semen analysis could be improved with the availability of a simple, rapid and accurate home test. Herniorrhaphy with polypropylene mesh causing inguinal vasal obstruction: a preventable cause of obstructive azoospermia.

The prosthetic mesh induces a chronic foreign-body fibroblastic response creating scar tissue that imparts strength to the floor and leads to fewer recurrences.

Isolation and enrichment of murine spermatogonial stem cells using rhodamine 123 mitochondrial dye.

Stem cells possess enormous therapeutic potential in tissue replacement. To study stem cells further, they must be isolated. Techniques are available for enrichment and study of hematopoietic stems cells, but thus far, techniques for purification of spermatogonial stem cells have not been described.
