Treatment of pediatric patient with ruptured intracranial aneurysm--case report.

Introduction: Despite the contemporary diagnostics of intracranial aneurysms their treatment is still a great challenge. The decision when and if to apply a surgical or endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms should be made by a team of medical specialists which consists of a cerebrovascular neurosurgeon, neuro-radiologist and neuro-anesthesiologist.

Case Report: We report a case of a patient aged 16 who was admitted because of a sudden intensive headache followed by sickness, vomiting, and loss of consciousness.

[Clinical analysis of congenital abdominal wall defects--omphalocele and gastroschisis].

Introduction: This is a retrospective analysis of therapeutic approaches and treatment outcomes of congenital abdominal wall defects (omphalocele and gastroschisis) in a five year period. The aim of this study was to identify factors which can affect the prognosis of future therapeutic procedures.

Material And Methods: We evaluated 13 children, 7 with omphalocele (2 female/5 male; mean birth weight of 2862 g; mean gestational age of 37 weeks), and 6 patients with gastroschisis (2 female/4 male; mean birth weight of 2640 g; mean gestational age of 36/2 weeks).

Esophageal atresia and situs inversus--an unusual association of abnormalities--a case report.

We present a case report of a neonate with esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula. In the 31st week of gestation, maternal polyhydramnions was observed by prenatal ultrasonography. Postnatal insertion of an orogastric tube into the stomach was unsuccessful.

[Ureteral triplication--a case report].

Introduction: Of all children born with congenital anomalies, 30-40% have urogenital abnormalities. Most of them are asymptomatic, but if any symptoms occur, they are usually symptoms of urinary infections.

Case Report: A four-year old girl was admitted because of recurrent urinary infections and in order to perform a thorough clinical examination.

[Urogenital abnormalities and atresia of the gastrointestinal tract].

Introduction: The goal of the study was to ivestigate the frequency of urogenital congenital abnormalities among atresias of the digestive system and analyze fetal maldevelopment. The study also deals with gastrointestinal and urogenital embryology.

Material And Methods: This retrospektive study analyzed the clinical status of 55 newborns admitted to the Pediatric Surgery Clinic in Novi Sad due to atresia of the gastrointestinal tract during 1995-2003.
