Aim      To create a three-dimensional mathematical model of coronary flow in patients with ischemic heart disease based on findings of computed tomography angiography (CTA) with subsequent calculation of the fractional flow reserve (FFRCTA) and comparison of estimated FFRCTA with FFR reference values measured by coronary angiography (CAG).Material and methods  The study included 10 patients with borderline stenosis (50-75 %) as determined by CTA performed with a 640‑slice CT-scanner. Based on CTA findings, three-dimensional mathematical models were constructed for further calculation of FFRCTA.

Eu doped porous nanostructured SrTiO films and powder fabricated by sol-gel route without using any precursor template are characterized by different morphology and phase composition. The films show red and yellow luminescence with the most intensive photoluminescence (PL) bands at 612 nm and 588 nm, respectively. Raman, secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of undoped nanostructured porous SrTiO films showed the presence of TiO, SrO, and SrTiO phases and their components.

Objective: The aim: To study the possibilities of ultrasound in adhesive ileus obstruction diagnosis and indications for surgical treatment determination.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The results of diagnosis and treatment of 60 patients with acute adhesive intestinal obstruction with comparative use of X-ray and ultrasound methods were analyzed.

Results: Results: The use of a standard X-ray examination of the abdominal organs upon admission to the hospital allowed the diagnosis of acute adhesions of small bowel obstruction in only 32 (53.

The aim of our research was the elaboration of acute adhesive small bowel obstruction model and further study of pathomorphological changes of small bowel and peritoneum in experiment. The study was carried out on 40 rats which were done suturing of sero-serous small bowel stiches and modelling of angulations of small bowel with the use of mechanical and implantation factors of peritoneal adhesive disease development according to the worked out by us technique. The suggested experimental model allows modelling the acute adhesive small bowel obstruction just on the 3rd day of the experiment and specifying some aspects of adhesion formation in peritoneum under pathomorphological study.

We report the design and characterization of photoactive yellow protein (PYP)-blue fluorescent protein (mTagBFP) fusion constructs that permit the direct assay of reconstitution and function of the PYP domain. These constructs allow for in vivo testing of co-expression systems for enzymatic production of the p-coumaric acid-based PYP chromophore, via the action of tyrosine ammonia lyase and p-coumaroyl-CoA ligase (pCL or 4CL). We find that different 4CL enzymes can function to reconstitute PYP, including 4CL from Arabidopsis thaliana that can produce ∼100% holo-PYP protein under optimal conditions.
