The available literature indicates that amino acids can stabilize proteins. Our experimental data demonstrated that lysine and glutamic acid can stabilize recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) at 40°C for at least 1 month, as measured by RP-UPLC. Studies with different excipient concentrations demonstrated optimal concentrations of these amino acids within 10-12 mM.

Chronic pain is a common symptom in Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome (PACS), affecting 11-60% of patients, but the link between COVID-19 and chronic pain remains unclear. This study assesses healthcare resource utilization (HRU) for pain management among French COVID-19 survivors, using the National French Claims Database (SNDS). We analyzed medical consultations, rehabilitation services, diagnostic procedures, and medication dispensing to identify PACS-related pain patterns and their impact on the healthcare system.

Environmental chemical exposure has been rising over the past few decades but its impact on fertility remains uncertain. We assessed exposures to 23 common chemicals across a range of sociodemographic characteristics and their relationship with self-reported infertility. The analytic sample was non-pregnant women aged 18-49 years without a history of hysterectomy or oophorectomy (n = 2579) from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2013-2016).

Despite their potential risks to human health and the environment at ng/L to μg/L concentrations, there has been relatively little effort to measure trace organic compounds (TOrCs) in surface waters of Central America. The concentrations of eighteen TOrCs detected at eleven surface water sites in the Lempa River basin of El Salvador and four sources of drinking water for the cities of San Salvador, Antiguo Cuscatlán, Soyapango, and Santa Tecla are reported here. All samples were analyzed via liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
