This case describes a rare presentation of a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma not otherwise specified (DLBC NOS) in the gallbladder. Article Synopsis
  • Extranodal natural killer (NK) T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) is a rare cancer associated with poor survival rates, predominantly studied in East Asian populations, leaving a gap in international data on treatment outcomes.
  • This research is part of the T-cell Project, which tracked newly diagnosed NK and T-cell lymphoma patients from 13 countries, enrolling 1,695 participants and focusing on patient characteristics and survival rates over time.
  • The study found that 5-year overall survival rates were 54% for patients with nasal ENKTL and 34% for those with extranasal disease, representing the largest global dataset on ENKTL and highlighting significant improvements in patient survival with routine treatment practices.

Background: Some studies evaluated the diagnostic performance of fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) positron emission tomography or positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET or PET/CT) for the detection of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD). As there is no clear consensus about the diagnostic accuracy of these imaging methods, we performed a meta-analysis on this topic.

Methods: A comprehensive computer literature search of PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane library databases through December 2019 was performed.

: Clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of the CD30-targeted antibody-drug conjugate brentuximab vedotin (BV) for the treatment of relapsed/refractory Hodgkin lymphoma (R/R HL). In this study, we report on outcomes with BV in a real-world setting using data collected in clinics in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. : Clinical and epidemiological data for patients with R/R HL who received treatment with BV at eight centers across the Czech Republic and Slovakia were examined.

We report on a 73-year-old male patient with recurrent thrombosis of his infrarenal aortic prosthesis. Histologically, the thrombus contained cells of an ALK-negative anaplastic large cell T cell lymphoma (ALCL). Imaging studies were negative for other lymphoma manifestations; however, 3 months before, the patient had developed skin lesions consistent with lymphomatoid papulosis type A (LypA) which were clonally related to the ALCL.
