Wearable Surface Electromyography System to Predict Freeze of Gait in Parkinson's Disease Patients.

Freezing of gait (FOG) is a disabling yet poorly understood paroxysmal gait disorder affecting the vast majority of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) as they reach advanced stages of the disorder. Falling is one of the most disabling consequences of a FOG episode; it often results in injury and a future fear of falling, leading to diminished social engagement, a reduction in general fitness, loss of independence, and degradation of overall quality of life. Currently, there is no robust or reliable treatment against FOG in PD.

Arthroscopic Assisted Reduction and Fixation in Tibial Plateau Fractures: A Prospective Review.

Introduction: Tibial plateau fractures, which constitute approximately 1% of all fractures with an incidence of 10.3/100,000 annually, result from varus or valgus forces combined with axial loading in the knee. These fractures display a bimodal distribution, affecting younger individuals through high-velocity trauma and older individuals through low-energy trauma.

ADME and target prediction studies of Alogliptin as drug molecule.

Alogliptin is an oral hypoglycemic agent selective inhibitor of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) enzyme. Inhibition of DPP-4 increases the levels of the incretin hormones glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) by preventing their degradation. The main goal is to study the predicted and experimental properties of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination (ADME), compare them, examine predicted targets, and understand the use of SwissADME in designing other drug molecules.

Farmers' risk attitude, agricultural technology adoption and impacts in Eastern India.

Background: Agricultural production is inherently risky, as farmers are exposed to multiple stresses. The adoption of improved agricultural practices could become a key coping strategy to sustain production in such a risky environment. As several technologies are being developed and disseminated along this line, it is important to examine the factors influencing farmers' adoption of these strategies and their impact on productivity.
