[Topical drugs for the treatment of non-streptococcal acute tonsillopharyngitis in children: results of a multicenter study].

Introduction: Acute tonsillopharyngitis (ATP) is a very common disease in children. In non-streptococcal ATP, systemic antibiotics are usually not indicated, but topical antimicrobial therapy is advisable.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the combination of cetylpyridinium chloride with gramicidin C in the form of a spray in children with ATP in a prospective multicenter non-interventional study.

Spectral data of refractive index and extinction coefficient for thin films of titanium group metals used for fabrication of optical microstructures.

In this data paper we share the information on refractive index and extinction coefficient of metallic films of the titanium group (Ti, Zr, Hf), measured by ellipsometry in the wavelength range of 300-1100 nm. The presented data can be used to indirectly measure the thickness of metal films when they are sputtered onto a substrate, using the measured data on transmission and reflection coefficients depending on the wavelength of the probe beam, as well as to calculate the energy characteristics of diffraction gratings, formed on the surface of these films, under rigorous electromagnetic theory. The data were used in the research article "Increasing the spatial resolution of direct laser writing of diffractive structures on thin films of titanium group metals" [1].

The influence of ultrafine-grained structure on the mechanical properties and biocompatibility of austenitic stainless steels.

In this study, equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) of austenitic 316L and Cr-Ni-Ti stainless steels was carried out. Effect of ECAP at 400°C on the evolution of the microstructure, mechanical properties, and biocompatibility of these steels was investigated. The biocompatibility of samples with the ultrafine grain structure obtained in the ECAP process did not deteriorate in comparison with an austenitic 316L stainless steel in coarse-grained state.

[Treatment of Patients with Stable Manifestations of Atherosclerotic Vascular Disease: New Possibilities (Conclusion of the Council of Experts from November 16, 2018, Rostov-on-Don)].

In the conclusion of the council of experts (list of participants see text) the following issues are discussed: regional specifics of diagnostics and therapy of patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD) and / or peripheral arterial disease (PAD), methods of risk assessment in patients with stable course of atherosclerotic disease, pathogenetic validity of simultaneous inhibition of coagulation and platelet thrombus formation, as well as clinical significance of a novel therapeutic approach - combined use of rivaroxaban and acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). Possible problems and ways to their solution at implementation in clinical practice of the novel scheme of antithrombotic therapy are presented. Importance of multidisciplinary approach to management of patients with IHD and concomitant diseases is stressed.
