The paper reports reasons for a possibility of tumour regression due to selection of low-malignant and differentiating clones. Experimental evidence is provided supporting this view.

The morphological heterogeneity is characteristic for clones with not less than 10 cells manifesting itself earlier and heterogeneity as to the activity of the studied enzymes--later, in clones with more than 15-20 cells.

A study was made of the effect of fast neutron on differentiation of myoblasts in vitro. The results obtained indicate that irradiation inhibits the differentiation of myoblasts in culture. Irradiation with fast neutrons (1.

Carcinogenic substances caused cell functions to disturb, to inhibit or to intensify the synthesis of specific substances, to change the cell surface disrupted contacts of interactions between cells, pressing cells to become on the way of evolution, and to create heterogenic populations of cells.
