The study aimed at investigation of frequency and character of lymphocyte sensitization to insulin in patients with acute disturbances of brain blood circulation (ADBBC). Fifty patients with ADBBC (38-with ischemic stroke, 5-with hemorrhagic stroke, 7-with transient ischemic attacks), 17 patients with cerebrovascular diseases (CVD) and 20 age- and sex-matched controls have been studied. Lymphocyte sensitization to insulin (LS) was revealed in 32 patients with stroke and in 5-with CVD.

These changes were more pronounced during the early posttraumatic period and persisted for 2 months after burns were inflicted. Deep structural metabolic and morphological disorganization of the erythron peripheral component is a factor of risk of postburn complications.

We have found that as the anemia becomes deeper, the red blood cells of pregnant women demonstrate a linear increase in the level of spontaneous LPO, which rises by 54% during anemia of moderate severity (p < 0.02) as compared with control.

The condition of lipid peroxidation and activity of enzymes of protective glutathione-dependent anti-oxidation system of erythrocytes: glutathione peroxidase (GSH-P) and glutathione reductase (GSH-R) in cows with leukosis has been studied. The decrease of the level of MDA and GSH-R activity was accompanied by GSH-P activation depending on the stage disease. The considerable lowering of Ca2+ transport to erythrocytes was shown on hematological stage of leucosis.

(Tenebrinidae family) has been investigated at temperature lowering to 6-8 degrees. It has been shown that mealworms maintain the protein and RNA biosynthesis under cold acclimation (6-8 degrees C).
