Travel to academic conferences-where international flights are the norm-is responsible for a sizeable fraction of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with academic work. In order to provide a benchmark for comparison with other fields, as well as for future reduction strategies and assessments, we estimate the CO-equivalent emissions for conference travel in the field of astronomy for the prepandemic year 2019. The GHG emission of the international astronomical community's 362 conferences and schools in 2019 amounted to 42,500 tCOe, assuming a radiative-forcing index factor of 1.

Radio dispersion is imparted on each burst by intervening plasma, mostly located in the intergalactic medium. - One notable FRB, FRB 20180916B, shows a 16.35-day periodicity and emits at frequencies as low as 120 megahertz, with its activity window varying by frequency — narrower and earlier at higher frequencies.
- The findings indicate that lower-frequency emissions can escape their surrounding medium, suggesting that some FRBs are in environments that don't absorb low-frequency signals, contradicting previous theories about absorption affecting FRB periodicity.
Interspecialty referrals are an essential part of most inpatient stays. With over 130 referrals occurring per week at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, the process must be efficient and safe. The current paper-based 'white card' system was felt to be inefficient, and a Trust incident highlighted patient safety concerns.

Purpose: Homelessness is a growing public health and social concern in our society. The purpose of this qualitative descriptive study was to gain insight into the unique experiences of nurse practitioners (NPs) who provide health care to the homeless.
Data Sources: Audio-taped, open-ended interviews were conducted with nine NPs from southeast and northeast Wisconsin.
