[Peculiarities of serum lipid profile in patients with thyroid pathology professionally exposed to low-dose radiation].

The study included 90 patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) with NYHA FC I-II cardiac insufficiency professionally exposed to ionizing radiation (IR). 30 patients had isolated CHD, 30 presented with CHD and concomitant euthyroid autoimmune thyroiditis (ALT) and 30 with hypothyroid AIT. The control group consisted of 30 patients with the same pathologies unexposed to IR.

[Integral methodologic approach to occupational health maintenance for oil industry workers in North-West Siberia (exemplified by JSC "Novosibirsknephtegaz" model)].

The authors analyzed work conditions and health of workers in oil-extracting industry of Novosibirsk region. Findings are that work safety system based on workplace certification concerning work conditions and on occupational safety activities certification is the most important component in primary prevention of occupational hazardous effects on life and health of workers during the occupational activities.

[Cytotoxicity of chimera peptides incorporating sequences of cyclin kinases inhibitors].

The study is concerned with proapoptotic properties of chimera peptides which incorporate sequences of inhibitors of cyclin kinases p161NK4a and p21CIP/WAF1 as well as internalized sequences (Antp and tat). Sequences of the p16 type appeared to be more cytotoxic than the p21 one. Cytotoxic effect proved dependent on orientation with respect to the C or N terminal point of a polypeptide chain rather than on chimera sequence extent.

[Experience with the surgical treatment of Perthes' disease].

In the article are analyzed the results of treatment of 16 children with Perthes disease. There is given clinico-roentgenologic substantiation of surgical treatment. The authors concluded that the surgical methods of treatment of children with Perthes disease of the II-III degree are the principal ones.
