Aim: Palbociclib was approved in the United States in 2015 to treat estrogen receptor-positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) advanced breast cancer (ABC). This study evaluated outcomes and safety in patients treated with palbociclib in Australia and India with hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/HER2- ABC before palbociclib became commercially available.

Methods: Postmenopausal women (≥18 years) with HR+/HER2- ABC who were appropriate candidates for letrozole therapy received palbociclib 125 mg once daily for 21 days followed by 7 days off, and letrozole 2.

Background: Hyperinflammation, hypercoagulation and multi-organ dysfunction are life-threatening complications needing immediate attention in moderate-tosevere COVID-19 patients. We present our real world experience with Itolizumab, a repurposed immunomodulatory monoclonal antibody, administered in COVID-19 patients.

Methodology: Data from 25 confirmed moderate-to-severe COVID-19 patients, with high levels of pro-inflammatory markers and pulmonary function worsening on best supportive care and Itolizumab were included in this analysis.

Aim: To investigate the relationship between blood pressure (BP), ocular perfusion pressure (OPP), intraocular pressure (IOP) and open angle glaucoma (OAG) in Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG) patients and normal population.

Design: Cross-sectional observation study.

The removal of three over-the-counter pharmaceuticals from aqueous solution using four different adsorbents was analyzed. To study the effect of infused pharmaceutical and adsorbent on the adsorption system, both the concentration of drug and adsorbent dosage were varied, with constant temperature and pressure at different contact time. Adsorption kinetics, isotherm models, and ANOVA allegorized a generic trend for pharmaceutical removal efficiency of the adsorbents that varied as follows: activated carbon > fly ash > bentonite > sugar cane bagasse ash.
