The gene of human mutant (serine-17) fibroblast interferon was isolated with the use of highly efficient oligonucleotide-directed mutagenesis. On the basis of the constructed expression plasmid pPR-IFN Ser17 a strain producing human mutant beta-interferon (VKPM V-4678) was developed. It was shown that the specific activity of the human mutant (serine-17) fibroblast interferon was 1 order of magnitude higher than that of the recombinant interferon which reaches the specific activity of natural fibroblast interferon.

The clinical effect was favourable and its efficacy increased with prolongation of the therapy course time using the enterosorbent.

The use of lipoproteins, belonging to all atherogenic classes, did not essentially alter lymphocyte ability to form total E-RFC. Purified apolipoprotein B reduced lymphocyte capacity for active rosette formation.

Effect analysis of VLDL isolated from patients with different hyperlipidemia types revealed that VLDL obtained from high triglyceride plasma depressed proliferation 85-75%, while VLDL withdrawn from high cholesterol plasma 45-55% (p less than 0.05).

Neutrophil capacity for absorption increases at early stages of the disease and decreases with the progress of its duration and severity, while serum immune complex levels go up.
