Background: Subgingival bacterial colonization and biofilm formation are known to be the main etiology of periodontal disease progression. This biofilm elicits host response and the interaction between host defence mechanisms with plaque microorganisms and their products results in periodontal disease. Host modulatory therapy (HMT) is a form of treatment of periodontitis that focuses on treatment of the host in the host-bacteria interaction.

Postoperatively, he was found to have acute renal failure (evidenced by abdominal distension and pain, anuria and vomiting). This was thought to be secondary to pneumoperitoneum, an essential part of the laparoscopic procedure.

Here we report a case of non-anastomotic pseudo aneurysm occurring 21 years after implantation of ePTFE femoro-femoral crossover graft. An 80 year old female with a previous history of a femoro- femoral cross-over bypass surgery performed using a10 mm reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene graft presented with a pulsatile lump in her right groin.

Rarer still are bilateral PFA aneurysms (PFAAs). The diagnosis is difficult, but it may be suggested by the presence of a pulsatile tumor in the region of the femoral artery or by symptoms resulting from complications such as rupture or thromboembolism.

Objective: Suture-hole bleeding is a considerable problem in vascular procedures using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) grafts. This study aimed to study the efficacy of TachoComb H patches in controlling suture-hole bleeding.
Design: Prospective randomised controlled trial.
